Job Description

The Sr Associate Pega QA role involves developing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies for Pega applications. Responsibilities include creating and executing test plans, collaborating with development teams, identifying and tracking bugs, performing regression testing, and staying updated with new testing tools. The role requires ensuring compliance with best practices and reporting to stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the software quality. The job also involves providing feedback on usability and serviceability.
Good To Have:
  • Playwright knowledge
  • Apache POI API for reading and writing data from/to excel.
  • TestNG or JUnit testing framework.
  • Basic CI tool: Jenkins.
  • Build Tools: Maven.
  • Knowledge of Frameworks: KeywordDriven, DataDriven and Hybrid
  • Basic Pega Understanding-- Understanding of Case Management, Data Transform, Activities, Decision Tables
Must Have:
  • Pega QA experience and understanding of Pega PRPC.
  • Strong experience in automation testing, including creating test cases and test scripts.
  • Excellent knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, and TestNG.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python or other relevant programming languages.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodology and software development life cycle.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for Pega applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Pega PRPC and its testing frameworks
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks
  • Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases to ensure software quality.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand the requirements and functionality of the Pega application.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements and ensure consistent  
  • project execution.
  • Monitor debugging process results and track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts).
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  • Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk, and report it to concerned stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with general programming best practices, accepted web standards, and those standards set forth by
  • upstream sources.

Skills:

  • Pega QA
  • Strong experience in automation testing, including creating and executing test cases and test scripts.
  • Excellent knowledge of various automation testing tools, such as Selenium, Appium, and TestNG.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodology and software development life cycle.
  • Experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.

Experience:

  • 6-10 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, with at least 5+ years of experience in leading teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, reliable software applications.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.
  • Selenium Webdriver API. Good to have Playwright knowledge
  • Apache POI API for reading and writing data from/to excel.
  • Testing Framework: TestNG or JUnit.
  • Basic CI Tool : Jenkins.
  • Build Tools: Maven.
  • Knowledge of Frameworks: KeywordDriven, DataDriven and Hybrid
