Job Description
The Sr. Business Analyst at Tesla Energy Operations in Amsterdam will leverage data analytics to drive business decisions. Responsibilities include partnering with business leaders to understand requirements, collaborating with data engineering teams to ensure data integrity, and providing insightful analysis and reporting on Tesla Energy's performance. The role requires strong SQL and Python skills, proficiency in data visualization tools, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities. The analyst will work across various teams (engineering, product, sales, finance, etc.) to design KPIs, facilitate forums, manage reporting prioritization, and automate tasks. Experience with renewable energy systems is a plus.

The Business Analytics mission is to enable a data driven business and generate knowledge from our data. The Analyst is responsible for providing data and insights on our business performance and associated processes to the Energy EMEA business leaders. By using data and reporting metrics to identify potential problems, you will drive change across the organization by assisting teams with data-driven insights. An ideal candidate is skilled at data analytics, reporting, and data processing concepts and is naturally motivated to seek out and fix problems in a methodical way.
What You’ll Do- Interface with business leaders to receive and distill requirements via thorough analytical support and reporting
- Partner with data engineering team to ensure data integrity and correct mapping across various Tesla systems
- Partner with Headquarters to ensure reporting is globally aligned
- Provide accurate and insightful analysis and reporting of Tesla Energy’s business performance
- Work with engineering, product management, sales, finance, business operations, logistics, service, IT stakeholders to design process performance indicators
- Prepare and facilitate various cross-functional forums to review product and business key performance indicators
- Manage the reporting prioritization process, work with global analytics team to optimize existing report program
- Automate repetitive tasks with Python and SQL and write clean, tested codes that can be maintained and extended upon by other analysts
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in business analytics or data management experience
- Expert SQL and proficient Python user
- Proficiency in using data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
- Firm grasp of database management and database performance concepts
- Demonstrated ability to provide insights and conclusions from large, dense datasets
- Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills – and the ability to operate in a highly cross-functional environment
- Self-motivated, fast learner capable of first principle thinking in an ever-changing data landscape
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Experience with renewable energy generation systems is a plus
