About the role

We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to help shape the future of developer intelligence. You’ll join as our second product design hire, helping set a high bar for quality while establishing patterns and practices that scale as we grow. You’ll lead design across core product areas – working autonomously, but in tight partnership with your design, engineering, and product peers. From strategy to interaction design to visual polish, you’ll help bring clarity and craft to complex workflows used by some of the most sophisticated engineering orgs in the world. Our mission is to help engineering teams do their best work – and we believe design plays a central role in that.

What you’ll do

  • Own the full product design process across key surfaces – from research and ideation to visual design, prototyping, and implementation
  • Talk to customers and turn their needs into intentional and intuitive experiences
  • Partner cross-functionally with PMs, engineers, and GTM teams to shape the product roadmap
  • Help define and evolve our design system and visual language across surfaces and states
  • Use AI tools to accelerate your workflow—from ideation to prototyping to variation exploration
  • Inspire high standards of design quality across the team through collaboration and feedback
  • Collaborate directly with engineers on UI details, ideally writing lightweight code to tighten the product
  • As we scale from two designers to a full design organization, you’ll help hire, onboard, and mentor our future team

What we’re looking for

  • 7+ years designing and shipping high-quality digital products, especially B2B SaaS or data-rich analytics tools
  • Strong systems thinker who can design at both macro and micro levels
  • A portfolio that demonstrates excellent interaction, UI, and visual design craft
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and operating without a dedicated PM; you know how to define problems, propose solutions, and align teams
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams and understanding technical tradeoffs
  • Curiosity and comfort with using AI as a core part of your design workflow
  • Expert in Figma; experience with front-end frameworks (React, Tailwind, etc.) is a big plus
  • Comfortable operating autonomously and moving from ambiguity to clarity
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Salt Lake City—this is a hybrid role (3+ days/week in office)

Why DX

  • Competitive compensation and meaningful equity
  • 100% covered health, dental, and vision insurance + 401(k) with 4% match
  • Fast-growing, profitable company with an incredible customer base and clear product-market fit
  • Zero VC pressure, no bureaucracy, high autonomy, and a product-led culture
  • Unlimited PTO and a team that actually takes it
