Job Summary:

The Strategic Partner Sales Manager will be responsible for driving new business customer sales through partnerships. This role is pivotal in identifying, establishing, and leading key partnerships to help drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

    • Identifies and leads business opportunities with partners by generating pipeline and sales
    • Plays a key partner advisor role in  partner management and has the ability to delegate key responsibilities to cross-functional team members
    • Coach sales managers and customer-facing team members on how to maximize business development opportunities through existing partner relations
    • Collaborate with the Director of Partnerships and other key executives to develop company-wide partner strategies that align with company objectives
    • Maximizes partner value through facilitating executive engagements and collaborating with key partner executives
    • Manage and report out partner business development performance to senior management to help guide partner strategy and focus areas
    • Setting the “tone” for the company culture, fostering a success-oriented, accountability-based culture, and ensuring the core values of OpenGov are put into practice
    • Exemplifying the values of open communication, creativity, and imagination to promote team spirit to solve problems and identify & capture new business opportunities
    • Become thoroughly familiar with the existing product/service line, govtech industry, and competition to drive the growth of the business & delivering on business development goals
    • Proven ability to meet or exceed quota expectations

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred 
    • Master’s degree strongly preferred
    • 5-8 years experience in partnership management, business development, or sales related roles required
    • 3+ years in government technology preferred
    • Strong knowledge of the government technology industry required
    • Able to deal with difficult, sensitive, and confidential information required
    • Highly skilled strategic thinker with a track record of driving significant results in an organization
    • Manager level experience in working in high-growth and industry “disruptive” technology companies
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
    • Brings executive presence, detail-oriented, strong relationship-building skills, and a focus on a high level of customer service
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights and manage cross-functional team members
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all level
