Job Description

The Supervisor, Environment and Events (Facilities) at Disney Television Animation manages studio facilities, ensuring a productive and safe workspace for hundreds of artists. Responsibilities include project managing workstation requests, furniture deployments, and equipment moves; supervising staff; maintaining inventory; optimizing storage; managing maintenance and repairs; and acting as the primary contact for emergency preparedness. The role demands strong customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders. This includes ensuring compliance with fire codes and company policies while addressing ergonomic concerns and potential productivity issues related to artist workstations.

Job Summary:

Become part of the Disney Difference by bringing your exceptional work ethic, teamwork, attention to detail and customer service skills to the Disney Television Animation Environment & Events team where you will help deliver the magic of creating an ideal work environment for hundreds of creative artists.

Responsibilities:

  • Studio Facilities Management
    • Project manage all physical workstation requests, furniture deployment and team and equipment moves
    • Request services of Disney and vendor movers as needed and supervise them when they are onsite
    • Manage the maintenance, storage and deployment of all DTVA furniture and all related record keeping
    • Supervise E&E facilities coordinator
    • Partner with E&E team to maintain clean, safe and inclusive campus
    • Identify areas of cost savings through better furniture and equipment inventory storage and management
    • Partner with Technology teams on equipment moves for installations, capital projects, team moves, etc.
    • Optimize onsite and offsite storage of furniture, equipment and supplies and manage access
    • Project manage all regular maintenance and repair projects
    • Manage E&E facilities and capital project tracking schedules
    • Perform other duties as necessary in support of the E&E team

  • Artist & Crew Relations
    • Establish relationships with key stakeholders to understand the needs of productions and departments
    • Communicate fire code and company policy requirements around physical office setups
    • Understand ergonomic and potential productivity issues related to artist workstations and physical environment

  • Emergency Preparedness
    • Primary point of contact with WDS Fire Dept facilitating campus inspections, event compliance and drills
    • Be prepared to take leadership role in the event of campus emergencies and drills
    • Complete all required Disney Crisis Management classes
    • Partner with Crisis Management Site Coordinators to maintain Emergency Preparedness supplies, systems, procedures and safe zones at or above required levels

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities management/operations related field required.
  • Strong customer service mindset and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • The ability to handle multiple projects at one time from start to finish.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Advanced users of the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn in-house database systems.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
  • Must live within a commutable distance to our Glendale/ Burbank locations. This role requires someone onsite as well as the ability to get to multiple locations depending on meetings/events required.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime with approvals on an as needed basis. This will include early mornings and late evening from time to time.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and/or independently.
  • Proven success executing projects in fast-paced creative environment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MSOffice software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of AutoCad, Eptura and SAP
  • Experience working in a VFX or animation production or post-production studio

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related major or equivalent experience.


The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $71,000.00 to $95,100.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
