The Supplier Management team manages the stewardship of relationships with all Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions (A&E) destination management companies (DMCs) and suppliers. This includes the creation of new relationships and the nurturing of existing and ongoing relationships. The purpose and goals of this team are guided by the strategic philosophy that strong DMC/supplier relationships lead to better Guest experiences, stronger leveraging power, and identifying and driving efficiencies for the businesses. You will partner extensively with Sourcing & Procurement and other Trip Development and Trip Operations teams.

The Supplier Management Manager will report to the Manager, Business Integration & Strategy and sits in Celebration, FL.

What You Will Do/Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Manager, Business Integration & Strategy to support all processes and procedures of Supplier Management.

  • Partner with Sourcing and Procurement, Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, Corporate Aviation, and Sustainability to create and support new systems, procedures and standards for vetting DMCs and other suppliers.

  • Provide routine support and partnership to trip development and operations in vetting DMCs, commercial flights, charter flights, helicopters, watercraft, activities, dining venues, and accommodations.

  • Ensure the business operates within agreed upon standards and procedures.

  • Work with the Manager, Business Integration & Strategy and Sourcing & Procurement to identify suppliers/DMCs through industry networking, attending trade events, and will support the effort to consolidate suppliers across A&E.

  • Other duties as necessary or assigned.

You Will Have/Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in the travel industry or sourcing & procurement.

  • Experience working collaboratively across business functions and as a member of a diverse, matrixed team. Experience maintaining relationships internally, externally and with suppliers preferred.

  • Experience managing a large volume of work/responsibilities, prioritizing work and meeting assigned deadlines; excellent organizational skills (including attention to detail).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; can also clearly and effectively correspond with international suppliers where English may not be their first language.

  • Experience anticipating problems, finding creative solutions to challenging situations and presenting complicated information in a clear and simple manner.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint and common Internet browsers and applications.

  • Willingness to travel for business as needed; Possess a valid passport.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to both operate individually and collaborate with a team. Project management experience is a plus.

  • Exposure to or previous experience working in risk management.

  • Experience using QuickBase or other databases or CRM software.

  • Multilingual proficiency, demonstrating the ability to communicate fluently in multiple languages.

Required Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:

Bachelor's degree
