Must have:
  • Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports.

  • Troubleshoot and tune dashboard performance and data sources.
  • Document technical specifications and best practices for development.
  • Participate in project planning and provide post-implementation support.
  • Stay current with Tableau features and data visualization trends.
  • Minimum 4 years in data visualization or business intelligence.
  • Proven Tableau dashboard development in a corporate setting.
  • Analyze business requirements and design effective data visualizations.
  • Experience working with data analysts, engineers, and IT teams.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for data insights.

Software Requirements

  • Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in Tableau Desktop (latest version preferred) and Tableau Server/Online
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
  • Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation
  • Familiarity with data preparation tools like Tableau Prep or similar solutions
  • Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum) for project delivery
  • Experience with Source Control tools such as Git (preferred)
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with other BI tools (Power BI, QlikView)
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Overall Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain intuitive and interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into visual solutions
  • Optimize data models and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security
  • Conduct troubleshooting and performance tuning of dashboards and data sources
  • Develop and document technical specifications, best practices, and processes for dashboard development
  • Participate in project planning and provide ongoing support post-implementation
  • Stay current with evolving Tableau features and data visualization trends, recommending integrations for continuous improvement

  • Essential: Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud
  • Preferred: Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools

  • Meet daily with project teams to review priorities and progress
  • Develop and refine dashboards based on user feedback and evolving requirements
  • Extract, transform, and load data into Tableau from multiple sources
  • Troubleshoot issues related to data accuracy, performance, and security
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure dashboards meet reporting needs and usability standards
  • Document dashboards, data models, and best practices for ongoing maintenance and upgrades

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field
  • Relevant certifications in Tableau (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Certified Tableau Professional) preferred
