This is an opportunity for a talented, self-motivated individual who desires to develop their skill set and be part of the network of PwC firms, working with experienced Accounting and Finance practitioners across the region. As a Team Leader in SSC, you'll lead a team of problem solvers, helping to solve various business issues from strategy to execution.
Our SSC team supports internal clients with transforming their finance function by executing strategies to reduce functional and operational complexity through streamlined processes, optimized use of technology, and efficient use of resources to deliver cost effective and high quality services to all stakeholders. Responsibilities and duties
Operational tasks:
Lead and supervise a team of accounts payable specialists
Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure the team meets departmental goals and objectives
Oversee the processing of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, manage payment proposal process
Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and financial reporting
Develop and implement accounts payable policies, procedures, and controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with local and/or regional regulatory requirements
Communicate clearly and concisely at all levels with clients, superiors, and other work team members in Slovak, English and/or German
Coordinate a regular update of work procedures to reflect all implemented changes to the process set-up
Monitor performance (KPI / SLA) for relevant process areas
Proactively submit improvements and simplifications of the assigned processes
Perform other tasks in line with the superior’s instructions.
Project tasks:
Active participation on smooth transfer of AP activities from local site to SSC
Responsibility for stabilization of transferred activities
Preparation and regular update of working instructions
Personality requirements and skills
3+ years of experience in leading an accounts payable team
Previous experience working in a shared service center is advantageous
Leadership skills, people management
Knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to think and plan ahead, to cope with tight deadlines, to quickly shift gears in a dynamic environment
Good command of English (written and spoken - B2/C1) is a must
Good command of German (written and spoken - B2) is advantage
Knowledge of SAP Finance modules
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
