As a Technical Product Lead within Business Technology at YouTube, you will lead large efforts to better empower our content partnerships organization to drive partner success and product adoption. Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 9 years of experience in either system design or in one programming language
  • 9 years of experience designing technology solutions
  • Partnering with engineering and QA teams
  • Define product strategy for large, ambiguous problem spaces
  • Develop narrative around product strategy
  • Define requirements and lead delivery
  • Collect and analyze data to inform strategic decisions
Good to have:
  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science
  • 10 years of experience influencing across audiences
  • 10 years of experience developing narrative and building presentation materials
  • 10 years of experience integrating internal systems
  • 10 years of experience managing product roadmaps
  • Experience working with the Salesforce platform

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 9 years of experience in either system design or in one programming language (Java, C++, Python, etc.).
  • 9 years of experience designing technology solutions to business needs and partnering with engineering and QA teams to implement, test, launch, and land those solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or related field.
  • 10 years of experience influencing across audiences, refining systems design with engineers to driving alignment on strategy with business leaders.
  • 10 years of experience developing the narrative and building presentation materials to communicate strategies to leadership.
  • 10 years of experience integrating internal systems and defining data architecture for consuming and exposing data from a range of sources to end users.
  • 10 years of experience managing product roadmaps, influencing cross-functional teams, and communicating complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Experience working with the Salesforce platform.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy for large, ambiguous problem spaces that span user journeys, product capabilities, cross-functional partners, and technologies, organizing teammates and cross-functional teams around this outlook.
  • Develop the narrative around our product strategy and distill it into materials highly effective for influencing a wide range of audiences, from individual engineers to Director and VP level business leadership.
  • Define requirements and lead the team’s efforts towards delivery, ensuring that everything we release is tested, launched, communicated, and adopted effectively.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform strategic decisions, and communicate insights to build consensus across cross-functional teams and with leadership.
  • Land releases successfully by working with stakeholders to provide comprehensive documentation, training, troubleshooting, and support and by defining and tracking meaningful measures of success.
