This Technical Program Manager role at Google focuses on the delivery of network engineering and lifecycle management (LCM) deployment programs/projects. Responsibilities include managing global delivery teams, coordinating with third-party vendors, designing new processes, developing project reports, and partnering with engineers to deliver large technical networking projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in program management within networking, delivering infrastructure assets, vendor management, and network migrations. Strong technical understanding and experience with automation and software programs are essential. The role requires managing and driving the delivery of network engineering projects, leveraging automation, and facilitating efficient network services to customers. The candidate will also work with management to improve processes and ensure efficient achievement of objectives.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years program/project management experience
- Networking program management experience
- Vendor management experience
- Network infrastructure upgrade experience
Good to have:
- PMP, Agile certifications
- CCNA, CCNP, or similar certifications
- Experience managing network migrations
- Experience managing technical vendors
- Understanding of enterprise network technologies

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program or technical project management.
- Experience in program management in the networking area delivering infrastructure assets and vendor management.
Preferred qualifications:
- PMP, Agile project management certification, CCNA, CCNP, or other certifications in network technologies or similar.
- Experience in delivering network infrastructure upgrades, specifically around life cycle management of networking gear and deployment of new enterprise networking solutions.
- Experience in delivering and managing network migrations projects with a clear emphasis on quality and on-time delivery.
- Experience managing technical vendors such as smart hands and project coordinators and leading quarterly business reviews.
- Ability to understand technical subjects and emerging technologies around enterprise network.

- Manage and drive the delivery of network engineering and life-cycle management (LCM) deployment programs/projects while leveraging automation and software programs by coordinating with global delivery teams across the company to facilitate efficient network services to customers.
- Manage third-party vendors responsible for the monitoring and troubleshooting of network services, including facilitating any escalations requiring engineering assistance.
- Work with management to design and launch new processes, institute process improvements, and ensure the efficient/reliable achievement of process objectives.
- Develop reports to track scope, schedule, budget, risks, and overall project status; coordinate with stakeholders to manage, track, and control project issues to ensure timely delivery.
- Partner with Network Engineers, Software Engineers, and Project Managers to deliver large technical networking projects.
