Job Description

AnaVation is seeking a reliable and task-oriented individual to directly support Business and Operations functions for their Army customer. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, professional, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks. This role involves coordinating, planning, editing, writing, and proofing various forms of senior leader correspondence and critical information for internal and external needs, ensuring adherence to Army regulations and customer requirements.
Must have:
  • Coordinate, plan, edit, write, and proof Senior Leader correspondence (WARs, SOPs, Army Awards, emails, Memorandums).
  • Research, assemble, write, and disseminate sensitive, critical, and complex information.
  • Conduct interviews and attend events to collect information for articles.
  • Edit, draft, and finalize documents applying editing and writing standards.
  • Proof documents for grammatical errors; revise/edit for clarity and consistency.
  • Maintain office calendars and send appointment reminders.
  • Type correspondence letters and reports.
  • Assist in event planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Act as a liaison between different departments.
  • Create and assist graphic tasks with customer’s graphics team.
  • Create, process, and disseminate business cards.
  • Interim Secret Security Clearance.
  • High level of expertise in writing and editing.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Army regulations and policies on correspondence and awards.
  • Knowledge of Army writing concepts, practices, and standards.
  • Broad knowledge of government editing and writing procedures.
  • Knowledge of various formats, standards, writing, and editing terminology.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-started.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Good to have:
  • Fully adjudicated Secret Security Clearance
  • BA/BS in a business-related field
  • Previous experience supporting Government executives

Description of Task to be Performed:

AnaVation is seeking a reliable and task-oriented individual who will directly support Business and Operations functions for our Army customer. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, professional, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate, plan, edit, write, and proof Senior Leader correspondence to include Weekly Activities Reports (WARs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Army Awards, Senior Leaders emails, Memorandums, and other communications suited for internal personnel and external customers.
  • Research, assemble, write, and disseminate sensitive, critical, and often complex information for both internal and external needs, on a wide variety of topics in support of the customer mission. Writings may include talking points, communications plans, scripts and other narrative material for various venues.
  • Conduct interviews of individuals and attend events to collect information for articles to further the customer’s communication efforts. Consider overall policies, mission, vision and strategic goals of the customer in deciding what information to present.
  • Edit, draft, and finalize documents through application of substantial knowledge and understanding of editing and writing standards, procedures, formats and terminology. Review narrative presentation, tables, graphs, drawings, appendices, and other illustrative material. Edit for conformance to customer requirements and Army Regulations. Review material for proper grammatical usage, punctuation, format, spelling, style, and order of presentation.
  • Proof documents for grammatical errors; revise/edit documents as needed to improve clarity of meaning and consistent. Check references to other publications for accuracy of titles, numbers, dates, and applicability of subject matter. Coordinate changes or extraordinary situations regarding format, content, grammatical usage with the customer. Attend in-process reviews.
  • Maintains office calendars and sending out reminders of impending appointments
  • Types correspondence letters and reports as applicable/needed
  • Assists in event planning, coordination and execution to include off-site reservations, managing the budget for routine and special events and reserving equipment and conferences rooms for presentations and in-office meetings
  • Act as a liaison between different departments.
  • Create and assist graphic tasks with customer’s graphics team as assigned
  • Create, process, and disseminate business cards for internal personnel

Required Qualifications:

  • Interim Secret Security Clearance
  • A high level of expertise in writing and editing
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of Army regulations and policies on preparing and managing correspondence, award documents for civilian and military personnel
  • Knowledge of Army writing concepts, practices, and standards
  • Broad knowledge of government editing and writing procedures and techniques
  • Knowledge of a variety of formats, standards, writing, and editing terminology
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and be self-started
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fully adjudicated Secret Security Clearance
  • BA/BS in a business-related field
  • Previous experience supporting Government executives
