Spotlight on Content Engineering Teams:

Promotional Media Engineering

The Promotional Media Management (PMM) team builds the systems that allow users to publish, collaborate, store, share, and discover promotional assets (artwork and video that are used to promote our titles, both on- and off-service). We ingest asset media files along with their metadata, usage rights and restrictions, and all of the other information necessary to drive good business decisions about our assets. Our flagship product, the Promotional Asset Library (PAL), serves both internal users and vendors outside of Netflix, and serves as a central hub for the discovery and distribution of promotional assets. We also develop horizontal platform services for asset management that power other applications across Promotional Media Engineering.

Publishing & Fan Engagement Technologies
We bridge the digital and physical worlds building technology that powers creating immersive experiences that inspire and connect fans. We empower Consumer Products and MarComms by developing innovative platforms that deepen fan engagement. Our mission is to create the technology to power innovative consumer experiences that enable Netflix to create, own, and fuel conversations by engaging and connecting our passionate fan bases. This team closely partners with Product Management, UX Design, Data Scientist, Consumer Research, other Software Engineering teams, and various publicity and consumer products business teams to bring fan engagement to the next level.

Creator Tooling

We own the applications that designers and strategists use to watch content and handpick the images, clips, and copy that show up on the Netflix site and across marketing channels like social. These tools shape how millions of people experience a title, all across the globe. The work is deeply creative, and now we're layering in GenAI to power features like smart image suggestions and dynamic asset generation. We're building with purpose and with plenty of room to explore.
