Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to support the large and growing demand for digital experiences. Since a high-quality user experience (UX) requires thoughtful design, this role will serve specific projects as well as the broader global digital marketing team.

Deploying a variety of skills and business knowledge, the person in this role will gather project requirements, create and test sketches of various concepts, and provide developers with final user interface specifications and visual designs. When possible, this person will implement these designs. To reduce our risk of violating web accessibility requirements, this person will steadily monitor and improve the usability of our digital properties. Additionally, this person will ensure global brand consistency on our digital properties and work with our team members to improve our site search rankings. Finally, this person may manage or assist with various quantitative and/or qualitative user research activities.

Ultimately, this role helps make our digital properties more user-friendly and intuitive in order to attract and retain clients.

Responsibility:

• Requirement Gathering: As needed, confer with business stakeholders, digital marketing strategists and users to discuss and determine goals, objectives & webpage designs.

• User Experience (UX) Solution Testing: Design or create digital experience concepts with low fidelity wireframe sketches and user flows to communicate design concept and collect feedback from digital strategists and other stakeholders.

• User Interface (UI) Design: Develop high-fidelity wireframe graphics using available computer software to define page layouts, visual design aligned with company brand, and interaction design specifications. Gather feedback from key stakeholders and make necessary changes. Work with developers to implement final designs. In many cases, implement designs independent of designers using SaaS solutions such as Ceros and Adobe's AEM.

• Accessibility & SEO: Monitor and improve the usability and search ranking of our digital properties. Reduce our vulnerability to accessibility lawsuits by reviewing and fixing accessibilty violations.

• Global UX Consulting: Act as a design and UX resource for all digital marketing activities across global/regional teams and all business units. Stay current on new software & design trends.

Knowledge and Experience:

• 2+ years' experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role

• 2+ years' experience working directly with developers to ship digital products

• Mastery of industry design tools (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) as demonstrated by a strong design portfolio.

• Experience managing user research activities.

• Experience with Adobe's Marketing Technology Stack (Adobe Experience Manager, Customer Journey Analytics, Target, Marketo, Workfront).

• Experience with JIRA or similar IT project management software.

• Familiarity with interaction design, information architecture, and data visualization principles.

• Experience with Ceros (cloud-based design system).

• Familiarity with development best practices and languages.

• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure and tight timelines, balancing multiple projects at once.

• Articulate and discuss design decisions with clients and stakeholders and communicate effectively with various types and levels of associates and external contacts.

• Open to new ideas and does not let ego get in the way of a better solution. Demonstrate ability to improve one's own work based on user data (e.g. A/B tests) and qualitative business feedback.

• Place oneself in someone else's shoes to understand the root of their emotions, as UX design is all about the user.

• Adapt to different situations and thinks on their feet in the fast-paced environment of UX design, wearing many hats as needed.

• Solve problems with a demonstrated knack for both creative and critical thinking, making it easier to come up with essential design solutions
