About the job

Description

Help people to play VR games. Yes, it's that simple. If you're fortunate enough to possess infectious charisma, the patience of a saint, and a passion for gaming and immersive experiences, then this could be your job.

OTHERWORLD is the UK's most popular VR experience. Through our growing network of city centre locations, we've welcomed over 50,000 dimension-hoppers to the best that virtual reality has to offer, including Adele, Skepta, KSI, Fnatic and Jonathan Ross.

As a VR Experience Guide at OTHERWORLD, you’ll work as part of a team of passionate and innovative colleagues to help your guests make memories they'll never forget.

You'll be based in our HQ in Shoreditch, East London, remotely connected to all of our UK locations, seeing what our guests are seeing, with a direct line to speak to them and guide them.

This role is available on both a part-time and a full-time basis.

You will:

  • Guide your guests through the OTHERWORLD experience as their guide and first port of call for any help they need while they're in VR
  • Proactively look out for any difficulties your guests might come into, whether it's getting stuck in a game, or having some problems with the VR equipment
  • Provide patient and well-timed guidance to your guests
  • Use our in-house systems to move guests between different VR experiences or restart experiences as required
  • Escalate any technical issues which you can't fix to your colleagues
  • Use your excellent training and knowledge to suggest VR experiences and help shape your guests' journeys into another world
  • Help new colleagues learn about OTHERWORLD’s culture and how we deliver high quality guest experiences
  • Provide structured feedback on how guests are interacting with the experience to help our in-house Product teams make OTHERWORLD even better

We'll help you to learn more about the magic which makes VR and OTHERWORLD special. This role is a brilliant development opportunity for those looking to grow their career in the immersive entertainment space. Both full-time and part-time roles are available.
