Job Description

Demiurge Studios is seeking promising engineers with a passion for games and programming to join their team. As an Associate Software Engineer, you will collaborate with artists and designers to develop innovative games for console, PC, and mobile devices. The role involves implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining source code, delivering high-quality systems, and making educated trade-offs among scope, quality, and pace within a cohesive and skilled development team.
Must have:
  • Work closely with artists and designers to understand and define game features and system requirements
  • Implement, test, debug and maintain source code
  • Deliver high quality, functional systems to specification
  • Collaborate with other engineers to develop and iterate on game features
  • Provide ongoing support to artists and designers
  • Make educated trade-offs among scope, quality and pace.
  • Strong programming skills
  • Deep knowledge of algorithms and data structures
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or similar discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Available to work on site at our Boston office one or more days per week
Good to have:
  • Experience developing software in a professional environment
  • Experience developing software using agile methodologies
  • Experience developing games with the Unreal and/or Unity Game Engines
  • Experience working in C++ or C#
  • Experience developing apps or games for mobile platforms

We’re looking for promising engineers to join our team! If you have a passion for games and a love for programming, we’d love to hear from you. As an engineer you’ll work with other engineers, artists and designers to deliver innovative games for console, PC, and mobile devices. Demiurge development teams are cohesive, highly skilled and well-supported. Come join us!

Required Qualifications:
