Haleon is seeking an Automation Intern for a 12-week program starting June 2026 at its Oak Hill manufacturing facility. The role involves gaining hands-on experience in a regulated consumer product environment, shadowing experienced engineers, and leading a real-world automation project. Interns will contribute to designing, troubleshooting, and optimizing production systems, focusing on smart, scalable solutions to improve performance and reduce downtime, making manufacturing efficient and continuous.
Must have:
  • Shadow engineers and technicians to learn break-fix troubleshooting and project coordination.
  • Assist with documentation and testing for automation projects, including change control and qualification protocols.
  • Own a small independent project such as configuring a vision system or setting up a tablet tester.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand operational challenges and propose solutions.
  • Participate in team meetings and share insights to support a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Must have an active student status for the duration of the internship.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment.
  • Must be eligible to work onsite on a full-time basis during the internship duration (40 hours/week).
  • Provide own funding for relocation and commuting.

We design, troubleshoot, and optimize the systems that power our operations—from packaging lines to tablet testers. Our mission is to deliver smart, scalable solutions that improve performance and reduce downtime.

As an Automation Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a regulated consumer product environment, shadow experienced engineers, and take ownership of a real-world automation project. You’ll be part of the team that makes manufacturing happen—and keeps it going.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Must have an active student status for the duration of the internship.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.
  • Must be eligible to work onsite on a full-time basis during the internship duration (40 hours/week) and provide their own funding for relocation and commuting.
  • Strong curiosity, self-motivation, and comfort with computers and wiring diagrams are highly valued.

Location: Lincoln, NE

Expected Start Date: July 2026

Rate: $24.50/hour
