This Development Intern will scope new technologies for early assessment and feasibility, including product design and analytical development, working with Innovation & Technology and Analytical teams to build foundational knowledge for new products in the VMS space.
Must have:
  • Design, plan, and conduct product development activities, including pre-formulation and formulation.
  • Perform analytical testing of active ingredients and define dissolution profiles of new products.
  • Analyze data and present results.
  • Implement written procedures & departmental quality documentation (including SOP’s, batch documentation, validation protocols & reports) and ensures work is conducted accordingly.
  • Deliver all EHS standards and expectations on site and within the laboratories.
  • Ensures work is always conducted following good scientific practice, Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices (where required) and maintains accurate experimental records.
  • Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree program with a background in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, Food Science, or related sciences.
  • Ability to work on site in Richmond, VA.
  • Candidate must be available to work full-time through the 12-week internship (approximately 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday).
  • Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of employment. Applicant must not require future sponsorship for an employment visa status.
Good to have:
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred.

The Wellness R&D Innovation and Development team works on innovative product development for the US market. This team’s objectives are to deliver and execute key innovations from concept to launch, develop robust formulations and products that delight our consumers and address their unmet needs, and act as subject matter experts of the product.

We are seeking a Development Intern to scope new technologies identified by the FH team for early assessment and feasibility to include product design and analytical development. This individual will work with the Innovation & Technology and Analytical teams to build our foundational knowledge of new technologies for application to new products in the VMS space.

Education required:

  • Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree program with a background in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, Food Science, or related sciences.

Other requirements:

  • Ability to work on site in Richmond, VA. (Relocation not included)
  • Candidate must be available to work full-time through the 12-week internship (approximately 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday)
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred.

Expected start date: June 2026

Starting Hourly Rate: $24.50
