We are an internationally recognized, Emmy Award®-winning studio – in two prominent Canadian cities, Vancouver and Kelowna – and the creative force behind top audience hits such as The Dragon Prince, Rick and Morty, Teen Titans Go!, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Bardel is currently looking for talented 2D Harmony Animators to work collaboratively with our studio team. This person will be working under the direction of the Lead Animator/Animation Supervisor/Director and will provide quality animation sequences in accordance with the established style and technical requirements of the project.
What you’ll be doing:
- Demonstrate a broad range of animation abilities in a collaborative environment to conceptualize and execute the overall look, attitude, and style of the character animation
- Actively promote and communicate sound solutions for technical and creative issues related to animation.
- Maintain and communicate a strong knowledge of innovative animation technologies
- Meet project quotas, deadlines, milestones, as set by project leads, and the production department
- Provide open communication with supervisors and production coordinators regarding any problems that may impact quotas and deadlines
What you bring with you:
- A portfolio with the following:
- strong understanding of traditional 2D animation principles
- strong understanding of 2D cut out animation workflows and techniques
- a high-level of polish, strong character acting (comedy, subtle)
- previous experience animating in Flash
- 2D TV/Film Production experience
- A positive attitude and dedication to the success of the project
Salary Range CAD $1,100 - $1,500 / week. The Salary Range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for a position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range for a job
