About the job
The3D Graphic Artists will provide visual design capabilities, including compositing, motion tracking, chroma-keying, layout, typography, color discernment, rotoscoping, and 2D/3D design. They will prepare, edit, and build graphics for vector and panoramic animations and complex 2D graphics and user interface (UI) design and create 3D assets as well as provide a workflow for real-time 3D rendering and compositing. The 3D Graphic Artists will build an asset library with VFX, SFX, 3D models, shaders, etc. using Unreal, Unity, and Torque to model, texture, rig, and animate models.
The 3D Graphic Artist Will
- Research and design ideas.
- Develop storyboards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders.
- Manage the 3D design process to develop 3D models, images, notion graphics, and environments.
- Use software and programs such as 3D Studio Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, ZBrush, V-Ray, SketchUp, Substance Painter, and Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop (for PBR (Physically-Based Rendering) content texturing).
- Use Substance Painter for albedo baked lighting texture creation with the aid of Adobe Photoshop for creating realistic textures for 3D models either from scratch or source data.
- Scale design efforts, determining and implementing project-wide procedures for media development to meet production timelines.
- Create high fidelity yet low poly models within specific polygon budgets since specific texture and lighting limitations require different blend modes and texture stages/multi-texturing techniques.
- Generate 2D graphics from 3D models for incorporation into appropriate products.
- Design and develop complex graphics and/or 3D animation, special effects, interactive images, backgrounds, web pages, or other visual images that are eye-pleasing for users, using film technology, video, computers, graphics, web design, and multimedia and electronic tools.
- US Citizen with a TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in art or graphic design
- At least 6 years of experience in publishing or graphic design
- Experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, After Effects, and Dreamweaver
- Proficient in Maya, or other 3d Modeling and scene creating Software
- Prior work experience using computer aided design (CAD) software
