3D Modeler (Chile)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative 3D Modeler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets that bring our game worlds, characters, and environments to life. The ideal candidate has a strong artistic sense, excellent attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative game development environment. You’ll work closely with concept artists, animators, technical artists, and game designers to ensure all assets meet visual, functional, and technical requirements.

The ideal 3D Modeler has prior blockchain experience, and an exemplary work ethic. We want people with experience and passion for web3, cryptocurrency, and NFTs. What you'll do

• Create high- and low-poly 3D models for characters, props, environments, and other game assets
• Apply textures, materials, and UV mapping to models using industry-standard tools
• Optimize models for real-time performance in game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine)
• Collaborate with the Art Director and concept artists to translate 2D designs into high-quality 3D assets
• Ensure assets meet technical specifications and work within engine constraints
• Work closely with riggers and animators to ensure models are ready for animation and integration
• Participate in feedback sessions and iterate on assets based on internal reviews and gameplay needs
• Maintain clear documentation and organized file structures for efficient asset management

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience as a 3D Modeler in the video game industry
• Experience in low poly modeling
• Experience using vertex colors or material-based coloring systems instead of using textures
• Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in modeling characters, props, or environments
• Proficient in industry-standard software such as Blender, Maya, and Substance Painter/Designer
• Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity
• Understanding of topology, UV mapping, baking processes, and real-time rendering techniques
• Ability to work from concept art and adapt to various art styles (realistic, stylized, etc.)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to work effectively in a team environment
• Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, stellar work ethic, fun collaborator
