3D Shot Finaling Artist: Paw Patrol

We’re looking for a talented artist to join our award winning, internationally acclaimed hit series for a short-term contract.

Responsibilities:

• Fix unwanted artifacts in shots coming out of Animation (e.g. floating, intersections, tangents) as well as kickbacks from downstream departments
• Address minor modeling and surfacing issues in Houdini-based assets
• Address minor grooming issues (fur, foliage, feathers)
• Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
• Publish QC'd shots from Animation into Lighting
• Maintain continuity between shots to keep a continuous flow throughout episodes
• Use Shotgrid to track shots coming in to and going out of the Finaling department

Qualifications:

• Previous Finaling experience
• Houdini/USD experience
• Minimum 5 years of production experience in animated series
• Ability to take direction and adapt to change
• Generalist experience is a major asset
• Experience with the production process from Layout through Compositing is an asset
• Knowledge of Python is preferred
• CFX experience is an asset but not necessary
