Fairmont Jakarta is seeking an Accounting Officer to join its finance department. The role involves ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, managing financial transactions, and maintaining compliance with hotel policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial reporting, audits, and budgeting. The Accounting Officer will manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collections and accurate posting of charges and payments to minimize balances. Additionally, they will prepare proforma invoices, invoices, and other client-related billing.

Hotel Overview 

Situated in Senayan Square at the South end of Jakarta's Central Business District, Fairmont Jakarta features 380 spacious guestrooms and 108 Fairmont branded Sky Suites. Additional features and amenities to the urban hotel include a number of lounges and several restaurants featuring a variety of culinary offerings. For corporate events and local galas, the hotel features 3,500 square meters of function space, including a 1,200 square-meter Grand Ballroom.

Job Description

Accounting Officer

The Accounting Officer will play a crucial role in the finance department by ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, effective management of financial transactions, and compliance with hotel policies and regulations. This role will involve assisting accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial reporting, as well as assisting with audits and budgeting.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist in managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate collections.
  • To ensure all charges and payments are posted to the correct ledger and to maintain and to minimize balance of hotel and accounts receivable.
  • To prepare the proforma invoice, invoice and all the billing related with clients.
     

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • 1-2 years accounting or operation experience.
  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in related field is preferred.
  • Good communicator, detail oriented and strong problem solving skills.
  • Honest, Personable, & professional demeanor.
  • Computer savvy, including strong Excel knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
