Job Description

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Technician II is responsible for exercising autonomy within established procedures, making informed decisions to resolve complex problems and drive results under limited supervision. The role involves applying analytical skills to resolve routine complexity requests, assisting in process development for routine projects, and implementing lean manufacturing principles within Product Development Lifecycle Management. Key tasks include maintaining manufacturing process documentation, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Acquire 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations environment, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Possess skills in research and analysis, technical acumen, troubleshooting, project management, product installation, equipment set-up, digital literacy, quality management systems, administrative support, data analysis and interpretation, training delivery, process improvement, and root cause analysis.
  • Hold a High School Diploma or vocational Education/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Be able to successfully perform minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements.

Job Description

Is responsible for exercising autonomy within established procedures, making informed decisions to resolve complex problems and drive results while working under limited supervision.

Your role:

  • Applies analytical skills to resolve routine complexity requests efficiently, under direct supervision, assists in the implementation of process development activities specifically tailored for routine projects to streamline procedures, enhance efficiencies, and ensures optimal outcomes within the defined project scope.
  • Applies lean manufacturing principles within Product Development Lifecycle Management (PDLM) processes, particularly focusing on routine projects, to implement continuous improvement methodologies, enhancing productivity and optimizing outcomes in the production environment.
  • Records and maintains manufacturing process documentation, encompassing work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturing batch records.
  • Participates in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues to uphold production efficiency and ensure the maintenance of product quality.
  • Aids in executing processes and standards, ensuring strict adherence to safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements, alongside local laws, company general business principles, and other relevant policies.

  • You’ve acquired 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations environment, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Production Engineering, or Cost Engineering or equivalent with Vocational Education OR no prior experience with Bachelor's Degree.
  • Your skills include research and analysis, technical acumen, troubleshooting, project management, product installation, equipment set-up, digital literacy, quality management systems, administrative support, data analysis and interpretation, training delivery, process improvement, root cause analysis
  • You have a High School Diploma or vocational Education/ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an onsite role.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in MN is $28.96 to $46.34

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Plymouth, MN.
