Job Description

SailPoint is seeking an Identity Strategist (pre-sales) to support the AMS sales region. You will partner with sales teams by applying your Identity and Security expertise and business acumen to support SailPoint’s growth objectives. The ideal candidate has experience in security program implementation and operation within the Financial Services, Manufacturing, Technology, or Retail industries, with a thorough understanding of Identity, Governance, User Administration, and Access Management. Your most important attributes are attitude and aptitude, with successful candidates coming from diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, engaging with C-level executives, creating content, influencing customers on their identity journey, building relationships, participating in industry events, influencing product management, delivering product roadmaps, coaching sales teams, and maintaining communication with customer success and support teams.

Must Have:
  • 15+ years of security implementation/operations experience
  • 10+ years with Identity/Governance/Access Management
  • 15+ years in Financial Services industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of technical infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of Identity/Cybersecurity trends
  • Deep understanding of Financial Services industry challenges

SailPoint is seeking an Identity Strategist (pre-sales) to support the AMS sales region. You will partner with our sales teams by applying your Identity and Security expertise plus business acumen in support of SailPoint’s growth objectives.

The ideal candidate possesses: 1) security program implementation and operation experience in the Financial Services, Manufacturing, Technology or Retail industry; and 2) thorough understanding of Identity, Governance, User Administration, and Access Management.  Your most important attributes are attitude and aptitude. Successful crew members come from diverse experiences such as: in-house security team leaders, vendor Field CTO - CISO teams, and/or consulting firms with an emphasis on security and identity programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Discover and understand customer requirements and align our solutions to those requirements

  • C-level strategic engagement in large complex sales cycles

  • Create content (i.e., presentations, blogs, whitepapers, maturity assessment, videos) tying SailPoint solutions to the business challenges and regulations of the Financial Services industry

  • Lead and influence customers on identity journey

  • Build relationships with key customers, partners, and industry thought leaders

  • Participation in Executive Briefing program, roadshows, and roundtables

  • Participation in customer advisory board

  • Influence product management decisions

  • Delivery of product roadmap and vision to customers

  • Coach Solution Engineers and Account Executives on SailPoint messaging

  • Maintain regular cadence with CSM, Professional Services, and Support to understand real life product performance, issues, and challenges

Requirements:

  • 15+ years professional experience of Security implementation, operations, and/or vendor experience

  • 10+ years working with Identity, Governance and Access Management solutions

  • 15+ years of Financial Services industry experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • A working knowledge of technical infrastructure including web services, application servers, databases, virtualization, and directories is required

  • Strong knowledge of Identity and Cybersecurity market trend and landscape

  • Deep understanding of the common business challenges, applications, regulations, and security landscape in the Financial Services industry

Location:

  • Residence in Canada or Latam (Brazil or Mexico) is preferred.

  • We anticipate 25% travel and flexibility to travel within the Americas will be necessary.

Education:

  • BA/BS preferred or global equivalent
