Job Description

GT seeks an AI/ML Engineer with 2+ years of experience and strong Python skills for healthcare and pharmacy projects. Responsibilities include developing forecasting models (e.g., ophthalmologist appointment scheduling, product demand prediction), implementing NLP and semantic similarity solutions, and contributing to various ML tasks like clustering and vector search. The role involves translating user needs into technical solutions, designing POCs, collaborating with clients, presenting findings, and maintaining documentation. Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, model deployment, and cloud platforms is essential.

GT is looking for an AI/ML Engineer with strong experience in Python to contribute to several ongoing projects.

About the Role:

The position is in the healthcare and pharmacy domain, with tasks involving forecasting models, NLP, semantic similarity, clustering, and related areas.

Examples of projects:

• Developing a forecasting model to support scheduling of ophthalmologist appointments across clinics

• Building a forecasting model to predict product demand

• Supporting additional projects as needed

Responsibilities:

Understand and translate end-user requirements into technical solutions
Develop solutions for semantic similarity, NLP, labeling, clustering, and vector search problems
Design and implement rapid proof-of-concept solutions
Participate in discovery stages with clients to define problem scope and solution approaches
Present work results and contribute ideas in team meetings
Create and maintain documentation for ML systems and processes
Stay current with ML/AI advancements and evaluate new techniques for potential implementation

Essential knowledge, skills & experience (Must-have):

At least 2 years of AI/ML experience
3+ years of Python experience
Experience with Generative AI and LLMs
Experience in model deployment
Experience with similarity, NLP, labeling, clustering, and data cleaning solutions
Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
RAG techniques implementation
Git version control
SQL knowledge
PyTorch
LlamaIndex or LangChain
Hugging Face Transformers
Experience with vector databases (Weaviate DB or Milvus db)
Time-series forecasting tools: Prophet, ARIMA, or TimeGPT
Pandas/NumPy for time-series data manipulation
LLM evaluation frameworks (e.g DeepEval)
At least Upper-intermediate English
