Position

Interactive Brokers is looking for an Android Software Engineer. You will help make our mobile trading applications even better.

If you are proficient in developing mobile applications, have solid Android programming experience, love the challenge of developing award-winning solutions, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment with a strong team, then Interactive Brokers may be just the place for you. This job is heavily oriented towards designing, building and optimizing trading applications.

As a mobile application developer, you'll join a growing team of highly talented and motivated engineers who are passionate about their work. You'll design, code, test, and maintain software solutions with complete ownership throughout this position.

Responsibilities

• Components design/implementation in Java and Kotlin for Android
• Follow specifications closely in a time-sensitive environment and, at the same time, provide constructive feedback that improves overall quality.
• Utilize best practices and Android Studio to rapidly debug applications, fix performance bottlenecks, and improve client experience.
• Employ techniques and design patterns to create well-structured, efficient and maintainable code.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

• Strong Java Skills.
• Technically oriented, proactive, and enthusiastic, with extreme attention to detail.
• Bachelor's in EE, CS, Math, Physics or similar (masters/ a plus)
• English written/verbal communication skills.
• Mobile development experience and/or strong desire to master mobile development for Android.
• Should be comfortable working in a team reviewing code from other developers and providing guidance and mentoring when appropriate.
• Familiarity with trading technologies is a plus.
