As an Application Engineer I: AWR - Custom IC and Simulation, you will be part of the Custom IC And Simulation team (CAS) in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, focusing on RF/microwave solutions using AWR. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support to customers and field personnel in areas like schematic capture and RF simulation. You will conduct root cause analysis, provide solutions to customer technical issues, run test cases to verify problems, collaborate with R&D, and create application notes. The role is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring collaboration with teams worldwide.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
Good to have:
  • Exposure to analog/RF IC design flow.
  • Exposure to communications theory, microwave, and/or antennas.
  • Knowledge of AWR and Microwave Office is a plus.

Job Description:

  • Provide technical support to customers and field personnel in any one of these areas: Schematic capture, Analog and RF simulation.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide resolution to customer technical issue
  • Run customer test cases to verify problems, create workarounds, when possible, test and deliver R&D fixes.
  • Close collaboration with R&D on issues using established protocols.
  • Author application notes and help provide feedback on documentation

Requirements:

  • Complete Bachelor degree in electrical/electronic engineering (or related areas) required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Portuguese and English.
  • Good problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to analog/RF IC design flow.  Academic level will be considered
  • Exposure to communications theory, microwave and/or antennas
  • Knowledge of AWR and Microwave Office is a plus
