Job Description

This role is responsible for managing and implementing Public Relations and Communications activities for assigned hotels/resorts, focusing on creating and maintaining a high profile and positive image. The successful candidate will work with hotel teams and the Global PR team to achieve international, regional, and local PR exposure, manage media relations, and build loyalty among top-tier media to drive revenue and achieve commercial objectives. This involves keeping properties and the brand front of mind. The role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in digital and social media, and a strong understanding of PR/Marketing communications, photography, and video requirements. Proven contacts within the hospitality/travel sector are essential.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations/MARCOM or related fields
  • At least 10 years of experience in leading international PR teams
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Proficient in computer software and publishing systems
  • Proven digital and social media skills
  • Strong understanding of PR/MACOM, photography, and video requirements
  • Proven contacts within the hospitality/travel & tourism sector
  • Proactive, dynamic, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Good to have:
  • Experience in the hotel or tourism industry

Job Description

Responsible for managing and implementing Public Relations and Communications activities for the assigned hotels/resorts.

This role is focused on creating and maintaining a high profile and positive image for the hotels/resorts and encouraging customer preference for the hotels/resorts by effectively communicating with media and industry partners.

The successful candidate will work directly with the hotel teams and with the support of the Global PR team to achieve international, regional, and local PR exposure, manage media relations, and build loyalty amongst top-tier media on behalf of the hotels/resorts and the brands, with the objective of keeping the hotels/resorts and the brand front of mind, driving revenue and helping the properties to achieve their commercial objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations/MARCOM or related fields.
  • At least 10 years of experience in leading a public relations team of international operations with a proven track record.
  • Experience in the hotel or tourism industry is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills are mandatory.
  • Proficient in using computer software and publishing systems.
  • Proven digital and social media skills.
  • A sound understanding of PR/MACOM, photography, and video requirements.
  • Proven contacts within the hospitality/travel & tourism sector – solid database of media contacts, airline partners, tourism boards, chambers of commerce, and etc.
  • Proactive, dynamic, and able to succeed in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • As deemed necessary, able to travel from Bangkok to visit the assigned properties in Thailand.
