Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer to join our growing consulting team. The role involves handling on-call production support, managing regular workstreams for research incidents, and implementing fixes and enhancements. The developer will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software according to system standards, policies, and security requirements. Analyzing business requirements, troubleshooting system errors, performing application configuration changes, providing documentation, and tracking time are also key responsibilities. The candidate must be able to troubleshoot under pressure and communicate effectively within the team.

Must have:

RPG skills for development.
CLP skills for development.
DB/2 knowledge for database management.
SDA, RLU knowledge for system analysis.
SQL/400 knowledge for database querying.
SQLRPGLE for advanced SQL programming.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve under pressure.

Good to have:

COBOL knowledge is a plus.
Experience with RDi, Hawkeye, Surveyor/400, xAnalysis tools.

Job Description:

· Handle on-call production support

· Handle regular workstream of Research incidents and fixes/enhancements when there is no on-call issue

· Design, code, test, debug and document software according to systems standards, policies and, procedures, security and compliance requirements.

· Analyzing business requirements, processes, data sets and systems to determine and suggest appropriate solutions.
Providing support to the application by troubleshooting and resolve system errors.

· Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve under pressure for short durations.

· Perform application configuration changes using established procedures.
Provide documentation, information, and perform special requests as requested for changes and ongoing processes.

· Provide regular time tracking and issue/task feedback data as requested.

· Communicate in a positive manner with team members
