Job Summary

Job Description

Assembler III is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. This role involves securing and maintaining correct component parts and supplies required for the operation. The individual will also ensure work area setup, operate equipment, prevent waste, and conduct quality inspections to meet standards.
Must have:
  • Fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications
  • Secure and maintain correct component parts and supplies
  • Complete work area setup
  • Fit parts together in accordance with prescribed manner and quality standards
  • Operate equipment and tools as required for assembly
  • Prevent and control waste of raw material
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards
  • Ensure work area is safe, clean, and organized
  • Complete pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Provide basic TPM to equipment and complete TPM paperwork
  • Maintain production records as required
  • Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Minimum 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
Good to have:
  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • 1 year of experience or more in assembly preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred
  • Certification in area of expertise including welding, etc.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with the prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates equipment and tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Prevents and controls waste of raw material
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Provides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when required
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
  • Minimum 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products is required 1 year of experience or more is preferred.
