This general labor role involves the safe handling of lumber products, ensuring they meet customer requirements and company standards. Key responsibilities include moving, securing, and stacking finished products, labeling materials accurately, and using a staple gun. The team member will also band, bundle, and secure materials, maintain accurate inventory, record production, and keep the work area clean. This position requires participation in safety and continuous improvement programs.
Good To Have:- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred
Must Have:- Safely handle lumber products
- Verify material meets customer requirements and company expectations
- Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions
- Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements
- Label material based on type, size, and count
- Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production
- Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment
- Band, bundle and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
- Follow instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
- Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
- Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
- Record production on production sheets
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts
- Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
- Perform other duties as required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
