Job Summary
GE Vernova – Power Conversion is seeking an intern for its EHS department in Massy, France, to study cognitive mechanisms in an industrial environment. The intern will collect and analyze incident reports, conduct field investigations including observations and interviews, apply cognitive psychology literature to understand human cognition in industrial settings, and propose a scientific monitoring and popularization system for the HSE team to integrate human cognition into their recommendations and analyses.

Job Description
Within our GE VERNOVA – Power Conversion entity based in MASSY, specializing in converter production, we are looking for an intern within our EHS department to study cognitive mechanisms in an industrial environment.
The intern will have the following missions:
- Collection and review of incident and accident reports from the last 12 months on the Massy-GE Power Conversion site.
- Understanding the demand required by the HSE division of GE POWER Conversion / Field investigation: evaluation of activities performed, observation, conducting interviews, administering psychometric tests using scales validated in the literature.
- Articulation with cognitive psychology literature in the industrial sector (Visuospatial attention, cognitive load, decision-making), a fine understanding of the cognitive mechanisms involved.
- Propose a scientific monitoring and popularization system, allowing the HSE team to integrate human cognition as a structuring dimension: popularization of definitions of executive/mental functions to HSE personnel so that they integrate these concepts into their recommendations or analyses.
