Job Summary
As a Software Engineering Manager at Autodesk, you will lead a talented Kraków-based team for Fusion, a key product in Autodesk's Design to Manufacture strategy. This role involves technical leadership, people management, and delivery ownership, focusing on complex engineering problems. You will partner with Product Management and Experience Design, guide architectural decisions, foster a collaborative culture, and ensure high-quality software delivery while coaching engineers in their career growth.
Must Have
- Lead and grow a cross-functional team of software engineers
- Partner closely with Product Management, Experience Design, Architects, and Technical Leads
- Help your team understand requirements, evaluate new architectures, and make sound technical decisions
- Build a high-performance, collaborative engineering culture
- Plan, track, and ensure execution against roadmaps, schedules, and budgets
- Coach, mentor, and support engineers in their career development and growth
- Drive high standards of quality, security, scalability, and user experience
- Collaborate effectively with distributed teams across Europe, the US, and other regions
- Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple initiatives in parallel
- Keep the customer perspective at the center of engineering decisions
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 12+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with C++ and technologies such as STL, Qt, CMake, and Python
- Experience designing and building scalable, performance-critical, customer-facing applications
- Hands-on experience shipping software using modern engineering practices
- Solid understanding of Agile / Scrum development methodologies
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written English)
- Ability to navigate complex, ambiguous technical and organizational challenges
- 3–5 years of people management experience in an engineering environment
- Understands what it takes to build highly scalable and high-performance systems
- Enjoys recruiting and developing top engineering talent
- Is a natural mentor and coach
- Has a strong execution mindset and experience delivering value incrementally and reliably

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will combine technical leadership, people management, and delivery ownership. You will create an environment where engineers can do their best work while delivering high-quality software to customers around the world.
Responsabilities
- Lead and grow a cross-functional team of software engineers delivering critical Fusion features
- Partner closely with Product Management, Experience Design, Architects, and Technical Leads
- Help your team understand requirements, evaluate new architectures, and make sound technical decisions
- Build a high-performance, collaborative engineering culture based on trust, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Plan, track, and ensure execution against roadmaps, schedules, and budgets
- Coach, mentor, and support engineers in their career development and growth
- Drive high standards of quality, security, scalability, and user experience
- Collaborate effectively with distributed teams across Europe, the US, and other regions
- Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple initiatives in parallel
- Keep the customer perspective at the center of engineering decisions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 12+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with C++ and technologies such as STL, Qt, CMake, and Python
- Experience designing and building scalable, performance-critical, customer-facing applications
- Hands-on experience shipping software using modern engineering practices:
- Continuous Integration & Delivery
- Infrastructure as Code
- Automated testing and quality gates
- Solid understanding of Agile / Scrum development methodologies
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written English)
- Ability to navigate complex, ambiguous technical and organizational challenges
- Has 3–5 years of people management experience in an engineering environment
- Understands what it takes to build highly scalable and high-performance systems
- Enjoys recruiting and developing top engineering talent
- Is a natural mentor and coach, not just a task manager
- Has experience with CAD, design, or manufacturing software (strong advantage)
- Knows how to build and support self-organizing, high-performing Scrum teams
- Has a strong execution mindset and experience delivering value incrementally and reliably
