Job Summary
The Places team at Apple manages and provides services to Apple’s Retail stores and workplaces, overseeing global real estate, capital construction, facilities, sustainability, and health and safety. The Program Management and Operations team identifies, defines, and implements processes and innovative solutions. The PMO Director leads a team of program managers, overseeing programs, confidential projects, reporting, and data analytics to ensure outstanding performance and alignment with global portfolio objectives. This role also drives the implementation and enhancement of tools, technology, and processes to support global Places teams.
Must Have
- Serve as the central point of contact across Places to facilitate cross-functional alignment.
- Drive end-to-end program execution from concept through launch by defining scope, timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
- Effectively manage schedules, risks, dependencies, and resources across teams.
- Lead program reviews, stand-ups, and steering committee meetings.
- Influence long-term roadmaps, aligning initiatives with business and program strategy.
- Use KPIs and performance metrics to drive data-informed decisions.
- Proactively and consistently communicate program status, risks, and key decisions to senior leadership.
- Lead the fiscal planning process from inception to approval for Places.
- Proactively monitor financial and service level agreement performance of Facilities vendors.
- Provide financial analytics to drive maintenance enhancements and key performance indicators.
- Proactively monitor financial and project execution performance data of Project Management teams.
- Provide financial analytics to identify trends and subsequent process changes, needed trainings, and ensure accurate financial forecasting.
- Lead and collaborate with various internal Apple teams to ensure alignment for tool, system, and process creation and implementation.
- Mentor junior program managers and project support personnel.
- Champion a culture of faculties excellence, accountability, and high-quality delivery.

Job Description
In Places, we don’t sit back and let things happen, we make things happen, and we do this in service to all Apple employees and customers. Our team is a diverse and nimble group that manages and provides services to Apple’s Retail stores and workplaces. We develop and manage Apple’s global real estate portfolio, lead all related capital construction projects, provide outstanding facilities and site services, develop and lead sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of all Apple facilities, including commute and renewable energy programs, and do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of all Apple personnel, facilities, and customers in our facilities around the world. The Places Program Management and Operations team works cross functional to successfully identify, define and implement processes, enhance existing systems and deliver new innovative solutions that will support all Apple facilities in the most cost effective manner.
The PMO Director is responsible for leading a team of experienced program managers who manage programs, confidential projects, reporting, and data analytics with a focus on helping the Places teams achieve outstanding performance and alignment with our global portfolio objectives. This leader will also drive implementation and innovative enhancements of tools, technology, and processes that enables the Places teams globally to do their lives best work.
- Serving as the central point of contact across Places to facilitate cross-functional alignment and ensure all stakeholders are seamlessly working toward shared goals.
- Driving end-to-end program execution from concept through launch by defining scope, timelines, deliverables, and milestones with stakeholders, while effectively managing schedules, risks, dependencies, and resources across teams to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Leading program reviews, stand-ups, and steering committee meetings while influencing long-term roadmaps, aligning initiatives with business and program strategy, using KPIs and performance metrics to drive data-informed decisions.
- Proactively and consistently communicating program status, risks, and key decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and visibility into overall program/initiatives health.
- Leading the fiscal planning process from inception to approval for Places through tool development, data collection, progress updates, strategic meetings, and keynote creation when applicable.
- Proactively monitoring the financial and service level agreement performance of Facilities vendors across our service tools and providing financial analytics to drive maintenance enhancements and key performance indicators with the broader team.
- Proactively monitoring the financial and project execution performance data of Project Management teams across our development management tools and providing financial analytics to identity trends and subsequent process changes, needed trainings, and ensure accurate financial forecasting.
- Leading and collaborating with various internal Apple teams to ensure alignment between all of the individual Places teams to ensure the successful creation and implementation of tools, systems and processes.
- Mentoring junior program managers and project support personnel while championing a culture of faculties excellence, accountability, and high-quality delivery.
- 10+ years of facilities or construction management experience with a demonstrated focus in leading high functioning, cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of delivering complex programs spanning 5+ teams and multiple geographies in fast-paced environments; demonstrated experience in overseeing large-scale budgets (OPEX/CAPEX) and managing financial performance.
- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work closely and effectively with all areas of the business; a born collaborator. Demonstrated deep attention to detail, and a passion for relentlessly following up.
- Significant experience with complex organizational settings (e.g. internal external stakeholders, geographic dispersion, etc.); experience working in companies which have a high-focus on customer and employee experience.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $254,800 and $408,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
