Ground Support Equipment Technician

At CAE, Manufacturing experts create industry-leading simulators. This role involves turning visionary designs into globally renowned products, from assembly and testing to final production. The GSE Technician will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test Ground Support Equipment, Ground Search Training, and Logistics Equipment, ensuring precision and contributing to CAE's mission of quality and safety. Must Have

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and test ground support equipment (GSE), GST equipment, and Logistics equipment
• Provide training and familiarization to Aircraft Technicians
• Debrief Supervisor as required
• Maintain tools and equipment required to perform primary duties
• Maintain applicable records of work performed
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Order equipment spares and material
• High School diploma
• Valid provincial license/endorsement as an Automotive Service Technician, Heavy Duty, and/or Truck and Coach, or Red Seal Program recognition
• Minimum one year of experience in the trade

• Previous experience working with Ground Support Equipment to support flying operations
• Current, up to date Safety Certifications
• Automotive Inspection certificate/licenses
• Advanced Fuel Injection certificates/licenses

The role we are offering you:

The GSE Technician will carry out maintenance on Ground Support Equipment, Ground Search Training, and Logistics Equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and test ground support equipment (GSE), GST

equipment, and Logistics equipment;

• Provide training and familiarization to Aircraft Technicians;
• Debrief Supervisor as required;
• Maintain tools and equipment required to perform primary duties;
• Maintain applicable records of work performed;
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment;
• Order equipment spares and material.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Must hold a valid provincial license/endorsement as an Automotive Service Technician, Heavy Duty, and/or Truck and Coach, as recognized by the applicable provincial authority or the Red Seal Program.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the trade.
• Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.

Assets

• Previous experience working with Ground Support Equipment to support flying operations
• Current, up to date Safety Certifications
• Automotive Inspection certificate/licenses.
• Advanced Fuel Injection certificates/licenses

As a condition of employment, candidate must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and to CAE being able to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations.
