Job Summary
CAE is hiring a Powerplant Engineer for its Engine Technical Support Services Department. The role involves managing powerplants for clients, including engine phase in and phase out, monitoring engine condition, records review, and conducting maintenance forecasts. The engineer will provide technical support for engine deliveries, redeliveries, and maintenance, liaise with OEMs, and ensure compliance with airworthiness directives. This position requires contributing to reliability reviews and managing various projects.
Must Have
- Provide technical support for engine deliveries, redeliveries, Base Maintenance, and Line Maintenance.
- Liaise with OEMs (CFM, IAE, Pratt& Whitney, Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell) on technical issues.
- Perform Engine Health Monitoring, performance & overview.
- Review and implement Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and technical documentation.
- Identify and implement solutions for reliability issues with client's Reliability Department and OEMs.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses to forecast engine lifecycle and determine asset value.
- Perform Detailed Records Review, Status report development, and OIL process management.
- Coordinate and monitor Engines & APUs maintenance visits with MROs and asset Owners/Lessors.
- Contribute to client’s Reliability review for powerplant and relevant components.
- Liaise, report, and follow up with clients on CAE services.
- Manage and execute various assigned projects.
- Hold a relevant Engineering Degree or EASA Part 66 maintenance license.
- Possess 2-3 years’ experience in airworthiness/CAMO or fleet management in airline/MRO.
- Understand EASA Part M, Part CAMO, and Part 145 regulations.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills for technical instructions.
- Be computer literate with strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint knowledge.
- Exhibit proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

As a Powerplant Engineer, you'll provide support to our Clients, reporting to the Operations Manager
Responsibilities
- Providing technical support with engine deliveries, redeliveries, Base Maintenance and Line Maintenance to CAE’s Clients.
- Liaising with CFM, IAE, Pratt& Whitney, Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell and otherOEM’s on resolution of technical issues • Engine Health Monitoring, performance & overview in coordination with OEMs
- Review and implementation of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and other technical documentation
- Identification and Implementation ofsolutionsto reliability issuesin conjunction with the client’s Reliability Department and OEMs
- Comprehensive analyses to forecast engine lifecycle and determine asset value • Detailed Records Review, Status report development and management of OIL process
- Coordinate and monitor Engines & APUs maintenance visits with the MRO (Maintenance Repair Organization) and with the asset Owners – Lessors, for any technical and economical (invoice reviews, claims, etc.) issues
- Contribute to the client’s Reliability review for technical issues related to powerplant and relevant components
- Liaison, reporting and follow up with clients on the services provided by CAE • Managing and executing various other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Relevant Engineering Degree or EASA Part 66 maintenance license
Skills & Experience
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in an airworthiness/CAMO or fleet management role in an airline or MRO environment
- Understanding of EASA Part M, Part CAMO and Part 145 regulation
- Flexible approach to work
- Excellent communication skills with experience writing or reviewing technical instructions
- Computer literate with strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
- Proven organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities at one time and make decisions in a busy, fast-paced environment
