Must Have

  • Ensure adequate production with CMOs to meet customer demands.
  • Support on-time delivery of Purchase Orders from CMOs.
  • Act as External Manufacturing (ExM) contact for internal and external customers.
  • Place purchase orders according to contractual requirements.
  • Review and update open order reports and track order exceptions.
  • Support synchronization of orders from OSP and other customers.
  • Implement standard processes for efficient communication from CMO to customer.
  • Ensure CMO provides open order confirmations.
  • Proactively support CMO and customer requests/queries.
  • Ensure CMO supply chain team is updated on regulatory approval status.
  • Act as the main point-of-Contact for resolution of supply issues.
  • Interface with Quality, Manufacturing Technology, Supplier Relationship Manager, and Procurement.
  • Work with CMO and SPU team/Customer to manage shortages/allocations and stock-outs.
  • Proactively determine the impact of supply disruption, quality events.
  • Coordinate product reworks/redress at CMO site.
  • Provide input into performance metrics analysis and comments.
  • Execute and support priority planning.
  • Provide monthly forecast to CMO.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage workload through task prioritization, high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in performing in a dynamic work environment.
  • BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Master Scheduling, Forecasting, Customer Service, Logistics, Distribution, and/or Inventory Management.
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent PC and systems skills with competence in MS Excel, and Office Suite.

The Supply Chain Site Coordinator will represent the External Manufacturing (ExM) Supply Chain team in providing a key link in the supply chain by coordinating activities between the SPU (Supply Planning Unit) and the Contract Manufacturing organisation (CMO).

The Role

BMS External Manufacturing is looking to recruit on a permanent Contract, Manager, Supply Chain Site Coordinator reporting to Associate Director, Supply Chain. The role can be based in Dublin Plaza 254 or Shannon Co. Clare.

The Supply Chain Site Coordinator will be responsible for communicating supply & demand information between the two organisations, and will also be responsible for the timely execution of supply orders for products sourced from the CMO.

The Supply Chain Site Coordinator will ensure Customer Service Levels for products in scope of responsibility are achieved, and manage supply priorities and exceptions that impact Customer Service levels to the markets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that adequate production is taking place with the Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) in order to meet customer demands.
  • Support the on-time delivery of Purchase Orders from CMO’s, and interact with Operational Supply Planner (OSP), Customer Liaison, Customer Service, CMO Site Planning, and BMS Virtual Plant Team (VPT) in achieving the on-time delivery of Purchase Orders.
  • Act as External Manufacturing (ExM) contact for internal and external customers for product inquiry, shipments and scheduling activities.
  • Ensure purchase orders are placed in a timely manner according to contractual requirements & to meet project timelines etc.
  • Review and update open order reports and track order exceptions and communicate unresolved issues to the Supply Chain Senior Manager.
  • Support synchronisation of orders from OSP and other customers to support campaign timing and consumption of tolled material.
  • Implements standard processes for efficient and effective communication of information from CMO to customer for example: open order reporting & shipping plan communication.
  • Ensures CMO provides open order confirmations through agreed process.
  • Proactively supports CMO and customer requests/queries in relation to supply, demand, logistics requirements, artwork change implementation, ship on test requests etc. Support ad hoc market and customer requests for information.
  • Ensure CMO supply chain team is kept up to date in relation to regulatory approval status to allow on time production to occur.
  • Act as the main point-of-Contact between BMS Planning and the CMO for resolution of supply issues that may impact Customer Service in the market.
  • Act as the interface with Quality, Manufacturing Technology, Supplier Relationship Manager, and Procurement to support resolution of any supply risks that may impact Customer Service levels.
  • Work with CMO and SPU team/Customer to manage shortages/allocations and stock-outs in the market.
  • Proactively determines the impact of supply disruption, quality events etc on market supply & keeps VPT and customer informed of such impact.
  • Coordinate product reworks/redress at CMO site, as required by the business.
  • Provide input into performance metrics analysis and comments (RTP, Backorders, Anticipated Backorders).
  • Execute and support priority planning as necessary through review of Backorder/Anticipated Backorder (BO/ABO) information and customer inventory levels.
  • Provides monthly forecast to CMO to account for delivery requirements in long-range planning horizon.
  • Support and lead projects as required.
  • Escalates to Supply Chain Senior Manager as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage workload accordingly through task prioritization, possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent analytical, organisational, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability in performing in a dynamic work environment
  • BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related discipline.
  • Masters degree is a plus.
  • APICS certification (CPIM and/or CSCP) is a plus
  • 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical / consumer products industry in a supply chain or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Master Scheduling, Forecasting, Customer Service, Logistics, Distribution, and/or Inventory Management is required, ideally combined with the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Excellent knowledge of the planning operational workflow (MPS, MRP, forecasting) and how sourcing decisions impact site planning operations.
  • Experience in SAP, BI, and Tableau is a plus
  • Project Management experience is a plus
  • Excellent PC and systems skills with competence in MS Excel, and Office Suite
  • Up to 25% travel
