Job Description

The Asset Control Developer will be responsible for understanding the Asset Control application architecture and delivering results to the business. They will also be required to analyze requirements, assist business users during acceptance and validation phases, and implement changes in production. The role involves writing documentation, setting up DevOps tools, and providing application support. The candidate should also be able to work closely with global stakeholders and participate in joint development and maintenance projects.
Must have:
  • Develop and implement IT solutions to meet business users’ requirements
  • Conduct system tests and user acceptance tests
  • Ensure a high quality of deliverables according to HSBC standards
  • Prepare project-related documentation
  • Asset Control development experience (IECL, Interfaces, Formula Engine, etc.)
  • Knowledge in DevOps/Agile way of working
  • Linux Shell script, JAVA, ORACLE experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Understand the architecture of Asset Control application
  • Deliver the results to the business and make some analysis if required
  • Help business users during acceptance and validation phases 
  • Raise the change request for implementation in production and make the delivery
  • Write all the documentation required
  • Set-up the required tools for Devops implementation
  • Support the application

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Develop and implement IT solutions to meet business users’ requirements
  • Conduct system tests, user acceptance tests and provide support on system implementation.
  • Ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices
  • Prepare project-related documentation and provide support on compliance and audit checking
  • Work closely with Traded Risk IT team globally on joint development and maintenance projects.
  • Work closely with global stake holders to progress projects   

Additional Skills

  • A university graduate with degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • Asset Control development experience(IECL, Interfaces, Formula Engine, Static and Timeseries data processing, Price Rules etc.)
  • Knowledge in DevOps/Agile way of working
  • At least 5-years &  10 years of Technical experience in the following is mandatory:
  • Linux Shell script, JAVA, ORACLE
