Job Description

The Asset Protection Associate ensures a safe and secure workplace by maintaining integrity across Asset Protection, Security, Inventory Control, and Workplace Services. This role involves fostering positive relationships, enforcing security protocols, conducting inspections, monitoring surveillance, and documenting incidents. The associate will also assist with access control, CTPAT compliance, and emergency procedures, contributing to the overall safety and operational efficiency of the facility.

Must Have:
  • Foster healthy relationships with staff, vendors, and guests
  • Maintain a professional and presentable appearance
  • Assist in reviewing, monitoring, and enforcing POST Orders
  • Assist in enforcing IIPP Program, Emergency Evacuation Procedures, and Fire Prevention Program
  • Assist with access control compliance, visitor program, and access card audits
  • Thoroughly examine and record logistics carrier information for CTPAT compliance
  • Complete opening/closing checklists and communicate findings
  • Control entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles
  • Conduct thorough package inspections for exiting employees
  • Monitor all surveillance cameras and document unlawful/suspicious activities
  • Review CCTV footage for after-hours building procedures
  • Assist in evicting trespassers and detaining perpetrators following legal protocols
  • Make smart decisions consistent with applicable guidance and policies
  • One or more years of Distribution Center and/or Retail store experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to complete expected responsibilities under minimal supervision

About the Team

The Asset Protection team is dedicated to offering our employees a safe workplace that operates at the highest level of integrity. The department is comprised of Asset Protection, Security, Inventory Control, and Workplace Services. This structure ensures that one global team oversees the physical security of our facilities, the maintenance of our facilities, the movement of our inventory, and the overall safety of our employees. As our global expansion continues, we are looking for passionate people to join the team and help take our department to new heights.

Shift: Thursday & Friday (10pm-7am), Saturday & Sunday (6:30pm - 3:30am)

In this role, you will:

  • Foster healthy relationships with staff, vendors, and guests, while demonstrating a superior customer service attitude
  • Maintain a professional and presentable appearance at all times that is in compliance with GOAT Group’s uniform standards
  • Assist in reviewing POST Orders for your assigned facility
  • Ensure that all aspects of POST Orders are in place, monitored, and enforced
  • Assist in enforcing the facility-level IIPP Program, Emergency Evacuation Procedures, and the Fire Prevention Program
  • Assist with access control compliance, the visitor program, and access card audits
  • Thoroughly examine and record logistics carrier information in accordance with CTPAT compliance standards where applicable
  • Complete opening/closing checklists and communicate findings
  • Support the local management team with any planned and/or special events
  • Control entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to GOAT Group Policy
  • Conduct thorough package inspections, including jackets/coats anytime employees are exiting the facility (warehouse/retail store)
  • Monitor all surveillance cameras
  • Document unlawful/suspicious activities
  • Review CCTV footage to document after-hours building opening/closing procedures
  • Assist in the process of evicting trespassers and violators and detain perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive at the scene
  • Be trusted to make smart decisions, consistent with applicable guidance and policies, requiring good judgment both proactively and reactively
  • Any other duties as assigned by Asset Protection, Workplace Services, and/or Operations

We are looking for:

  • A motivated and team-oriented individual with one or more years of Distribution Center and/or Retail store experience. This includes the following:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Security Guard and/or Asset Protection experience preferred
  • Audit and compliance experience preferred
  • Ability to coach and train team members
  • Ability to confidently handle personal and/or sensitive information
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the evolving needs of the business to include nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to complete expected responsibilities under minimal supervision
  • Planned/unplanned overtime may be required
  • CCTV, NVR, Google Suite, Excel, Powerpoint, and IOS experience is a plus for this position, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a typical warehouse or retail environment. This could include dust, fluctuating temperatures, and extended time frames of sitting, standing, and/or walking
