The Associate Manager, NYC Enrollment plays a crucial role in supporting the enrollment process at Uncommon NYC. They are responsible for coordinating and executing various tasks related to student recruitment, outreach, and application management. The Associate Manager, NYC Enrollment will work closely with the Manager, NYC Enrollment and other team members to execute recruitment strategies, cultivate community relationships, and ensure the visibility of the institution as an educational option. They also track the effectiveness of their outreach efforts, host family information sessions, and collect on the spot student applications from prospective families. The Associate Manager, NYC Enrollment supports the overall enrollment goals and collaborates with stakeholders to streamline the enrollment process for prospective students. Requires travel throughout Brooklyn, NYC up to 80% of the time. Includes some heavy lifting of marketing materials, tables, chairs etc.
Community Outreach: Responsible for identifying partnership and family engagement opportunities with organizations in Brooklyn. The Associate Manager will lead all canvassing, tabling, and other recruitment efforts according to the NYC enrollment strategic plan.
- Cultivate and maintain a network of community relationships through regular pop-in visits, literature drop-offs, meetings, and communication to find partnership opportunities with organizations that serve the same demographic as Uncommon Schools. Leverage community partners to identify and recruit students to Uncommon Schools and ensure Uncommon NYC visibility as an educational option.
- Deepen relationships with an active list of community partners to aid and support in continued partnership and outreach for prospective scholars to enroll in future school years.
Family Outreach Management: Provide informational opportunities to prospective families.
- Setup informational tables throughout the Brooklyn community to inform residents of the educational opportunities at Uncommon Schools.
- Implement a comprehensive follow-up plan, post-event, to engage and nurture prospective families, providing timely and relevant information to address inquiries and overcome potential barriers to enrollment.
- Track the effectiveness of various outreach efforts over time to make informed requests on recruitment strategy and funds with the support of the manager.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all families and CBOs, resulting in a high conversion rate of lead to applied families.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to lead conversion.
Recruitment and Enrollment: Assist the Director of School Support and Manager, NYC Regional Enrollment in the execution and management of recruitment strategy plans and targets, using data analysis to determine and respond to community and school needs for outreach and enrollment.
- Generate and cultivate leads and applications for prospective families.
- Post lottery manage a “warm” waitlist through strong communication and data-entry.
- Support in the preparations and execution of an annual lottery and related compliance.
Student Application and Record Management: Collaborate with the Manager, NYC Regional Enrollment to manage all prospective student applications, enrollment paperwork, and prospective family communication following-up on missing pieces of information to submit applications.
