The Associate Visual Effects Supervisor works in close partnership with the VFX Supervisor to provide creative and technical leadership across shows. This role is responsible for managing specific aspects of production, such as delegated sequences or targeted creative tasks, while contributing to the overall direction and delivery of the project. The Associate VFX Supervisor collaborates with the VFX Supervisor and Producer to ensure the project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and meets the highest artistic and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the VFX Supervisor and Producer to establish the creative and technical methodology for a given project, aligning with Framestore’s capabilities and project needs.
Collaborate with the VFX Supervisor and Producer to develop and execute production plans for assigned work.
Along with local HOD’s, participate in casting and assigning crew, ensuring appropriate team distribution for specific tasks or sequences.
Communicate regularly with the VFX Supervisor, at times this may need to be out of normal office hours, to discuss progress and adapt methodologies or resources as needed.
With guidance from VFX Supervisor, oversee asset creation, shot preparation and effects development, during early setup phase of a project.
During project shot delivery, supervise assigned sequences, assets, or effects, providing clear creative and technical direction to the local team, to ensure the creative vision is realized.
Occasionally perform hands-on shot work to support production needs or achieve specific creative goals.
Overall 15+ years of experience in VFX/Animation industry with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
Technical Expertise : Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Nuke, Maya, Houdini, Renderman, and Arnold, with a strong foundation in photo-realistic CGI.
Creative Leadership : Ability to provide clear creative and technical feedback, ensuring the highest artistic and technical standards are maintained.
Problem-Solving : Offer innovative solutions for challenges in pipeline workflows, team management, or project delivery.
Collaboration : Build strong relationships with VFX Supervisors, artists, and producers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
Adaptability : Adjust methodologies and workflows as project needs evolve, demonstrating flexibility and proactive thinking.
Mentorship : Support and mentor team members, promoting skill development and a culture of excellence.
