We are looking to hire a Mid-Experienced level Automation Engineer to join our Central Tech team supporting multiple in-development projects. As an Automation Engineer you will be responsible for collaborating with game teams and QA to implement, maintain and improve automated tests for stability, performance, and other metrics.
The Central Tech team is responsible for delivering software and software infrastructure which is shared across Starbreeze projects from the cooperative heists of PAYDAY to our upcoming Dungeons & Dragons® adventure and beyond.
Please note that this role must be based in Stockholm with Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as set office days.
Responsibilities:
Develop, iterate, and improve automated test systems for in-development projects.
Implement and manage AI-driven tests to validate game stability and performance.
Solve challenging problems independently and collaboratively with project, QA, and tech teams.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless test automation integration.
Share knowledge and actively suggest workflow improvements to enhance efficiency.
Operate within agile workflows (Scrum) and contribute to the team's ongoing evolution.
Requirements:
Experience in test automation within game development or a similar industry.
Strong programming skills and familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
Experience working with game engines and debugging tools.
A collaborative mindset with experience in agile development (Scrum).
Ability to communicate and work effectively with multiple disciplines.
Nice to have:
Experience with Unreal Engine.
Experience with distributed test automation tools.
Experience with Horde or other distributed test automation tools.
Previous experience working with AI testing.
