Job Description

Endava is seeking a motivated and proactive Automation Tester to join their team, focusing on ensuring the quality and reliability of payment solutions. The role involves close collaboration with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders, requiring flexibility and eagerness to learn across both Backend and Frontend testing activities.
Good To Have:

  • File handling experience.
  • Read analysis and interpretation of logs.
Must Have:
  • Investigate and define effective testing strategies.
  • Design and document detailed test cases.
  • Write, update, and execute test cases.
  • Implement best practices for manual and automation testing.
  • Work on both Backend and Frontend testing activities.
  • Collaborate with the team for test coverage and continuous improvement.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in software test automation.
  • Knowledge of Java, Visual Studio Code, and GitHub.
  • Familiarity with automation principles, testing frameworks, and BDD/TDD practices (Gherkin).
  • Proficient with API testing tools like Postman and Bruno.
  • Skilled in test management tools like Rally and Jira.
  • Ability to design and execute SQL queries for test validation.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins.
  • Basic familiarity with AWS and Azure.
  • Strong foundation in QA principles, manual and automated testing.
  • Effective communication skills and fluent in English.
  • Experience analyzing technical and business requirements.

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Automation Tester to join our team. This role involves close collaboration with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure the quality and reliability of our payment solutions. The ideal candidate should be flexible, eager to learn, and comfortable working across both Backend and Frontend testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and define the most effective testing strategies.
  • Design and document test cases with attention to detail and completeness.
  • Write, update and Execute test cases.
  • Implement best practices for manual and automation test to optimize test execution efficiency.
  • Work on both Backend and Frontend testing activities as required.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure test coverage, quality, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Automation Testing: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in software test automation, applying best practices and methodologies.
  • Programming & Tools: Knowledge of Java, Visual Studio Code, and experience with GitHub (repositories, branching, code review).
  • Test Automation & Frameworks: Familiar with automation principles, testing frameworks, and both BDD/TDD practices (using Gherkin).
  • API Testing: Proficient with tools such as Postman and Bruno.
  • Test Management: Skilled in using tools like Rally and Jira for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.
  • Databases: Ability to design and execute SQL queries for test validation.
  • CI/CD: Understanding of continuous integration and delivery pipelines, including Jenkins.
  • Cloud Concepts: Basic familiarity with AWS and Azure.
  • Testing Methodologies: Strong foundation in QA principles, both manual and automated testing, with experience documenting and executing test cases.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Effective communication skills and fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Analytical Skills: Experience analyzing technical and business requirements, aligning with acceptance criteria.
