Paytm is seeking a Business Intelligence and Analytics professional to optimize and demonstrate the value of analytics for informed business decision-making. This role involves developing and deploying analytical solutions, providing data-driven insights to business stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining analytical reports and dashboards, enabling test and learn strategies, understanding Paytm's data resources, evangelizing data-driven decision making, driving data quality improvement projects, and preparing analysis reports for management and stakeholders to understand trends, patterns, and predictions.
Must have:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in business intelligence/analytics in finance, e-commerce, consulting, or tech.
- Proficient in SQL and Excel with expertise in building scalable reporting solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills to derive actionable insights from data.
- Experience in optimizing business strategy, product, or process using data.
- Ability to execute cross-functional initiatives.
- Effective communication skills with senior audiences, including data presentation and visualization.
Good to have:
- Working knowledge of Dashboard visualization and CLM tools.
- Detail-oriented with aptitude for solving unstructured problems.
- Master's degree in engineering, statistics, mathematics, economics, or business.

About the role: We are seeking a Business Intelligence and Analytics professional for the Paytm team. The core responsibility will be to optimize, evangelize, and demonstrate the value and impact of analytics for informed business decision making by developing and deploying analytical solutions and providing data-driven insights to business stakeholders. Identify opportunities for process improvements. Provide data-driven insights to support business decisions. Implement solutions that increase efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain analytical reports and dashboards to provide a deep view of the
performance of the business.
2. Enable test and learn for understanding user behavior and targeting growth opportunities.
3. Understanding the broad range of Paytm data resources, and knowing the right ones to
use for the analytical problems at hand
4. Evangelizing data-driven decision making within the team and to business & product
owners.
5. Identifying data needs and driving data quality improvement projects.
6. Preparing reports for the management, stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
7. Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps,
enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends.

9. Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
10. Set up robust automated dashboards to drive performance management.
11. Derive business insights from data with a focus on driving business-level metrics.

● Minimum 2- 3 years of work experience in a business intelligence and analytics role in
financial services, e-commerce, consulting, or technology domain.
● Proficient in SQL and Excel, and deep expertise in building scalable business reporting
solutions
● Problem solving - Assess what data is required to prove hypotheses and derive actionable
insights.
● Past experience in optimizing business strategy, product, or process using data & analytics.
● Working knowledge of Dashboard visualization and CLM tools.
● Ability to execute cross-functional initiatives
● Demonstrated ability to partner with business owners to understand product requirements
directly.
● Effective spoken and written communication to senior audiences, including strong data
presentation and visualization skills.
● Detail-oriented, with an aptitude for solving unstructured problems
Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, statistics,
mathematics, economics, business, or a similar quantitative field. A master’s in these fields
is preferred.
