As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Barracuda Networks, you will be responsible for generating qualified leads and scheduling meetings to drive new customer acquisition through outbound prospecting. You will build relationships with potential customers, contribute to the sales pipeline, and collaborate with marketing on demand generation campaigns. Key responsibilities include proactively engaging potential customers via phone, email, social media, and networking; identifying key decision-makers; generating pipeline growth by scheduling qualified sales meetings; developing outreach strategies; conducting discovery calls; and maintaining detailed records. The role requires a results-driven approach to connecting with customers and driving business growth.
Must have:
  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales or customer engagement
  • Experience with proactive outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn)
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Comfortable with tools like Outlook/Gmail and Salesforce

Barracuda Networks is looking for a driven and results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our go-to-market strategy through outbound prospecting. Based in either the Alpharetta, GA or Chelmsford, MA office, in this role you will generate qualified leads and schedule meetings to drive new customer acquisition. Using your strong communication skills, you’ll build meaningful relationships with potential customers and help grow our sales pipeline. What you’ll be working on: 
 
  • Proactively engage potential customers through phone, email, social media, and networking to generate new business opportunities. 
  • Identify key decision-makers, update CRM contact details, and maintain detailed records in Salesforce.
  • Generate top-of-the-funnel pipeline growth by scheduling qualified sales meetings for Account Executives.
  • Develop creative outreach strategies to connect with high-value prospects and book sales appointments.
  • Conduct discovery calls to uncover customer challenges and align them with Barracuda’s solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute demand generation campaigns and targeted outreach.
What you bring to the role   
  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, lead generation, or customer engagement (preferably in SaaS or cybersecurity). 
  • BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Experience with proactive outreach, including phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn engagement.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Comfortable using tools like Outlook/Gmail, MS Office, and Salesforce.
  • A results-driven mindset with a passion for connecting with customers and driving business growth.
