Job Description

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions, enabling the production of chips and advanced displays. This role involves managing the primary interface between sales and the Business Unit for China customers, owning purchase and configuration specifications, and driving product milestones. The position requires supporting the field, aligning with division strategy, understanding customer roadmaps, and contributing to competitive intelligence. It also includes pricing analysis, order closure, and coordinating customer engagements like demos and visits.
Must have:
  • Primary interface for China customers (sales/BU).
  • Manage purchase and config spec responses.
  • Close hardware and process specifications (RFQs).
  • Manage customer requests and product milestones.
  • Drive Business Unit (BU) milestones.
  • Set customer expectations for BU strategy/financial targets.
  • Support Field (GPS, TPS, AGS) for account approaches.
  • Optimize opportunities for account partnership/penetration.
  • Implement division strategy for assigned accounts/regions.
  • Understand customer roadmaps and HVPs.
  • Position division products based on customer specs.
  • Contribute competitive intelligence to red teams.
  • Gather data, conduct value pricing analysis.
  • Recommend product pricing structure.
  • Partner with Sales for order closure.
  • Coordinate demos, visits, and source inspections.
  • Prepare and present level 0/1 presentations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Primary interface between sales and BU for China customers

2. Owns purchase and config spec responses. Responsible for closure of hardware and process specifications (RFQs)

3. Manages customer’s request and product milestone by organizing and driving BU milestone; set right customer expectation to achieve BU strategy and financial targets

4. Supports the Field (GPS,TPS,AGS) to ensure synergistic account approaches and optimization of all opportunities for account partnership and penetration

5. Follows through on division strategy for assigned account(s) and/or region(s) to achieve specific BU targets

6. Understands customer roadmaps and HVPs to help position division products within assigned accounts/regions in line with customer specifications and product technical capabilities. Contributes competitive intelligence to red teams.

7. Gathers data , conducts value pricing analysis and recommends pricing structure of products. Partners with Sales for order closure.

8. Qualifies, schedules, and coordinates demos, visits, and source inspections. Prepares and presents level 0/1 presentations to customers
