Job Description

The Camera Module Design Lead will be responsible for defining and conducting trade-off studies for RGB camera optics, sensors, actuators, and packaging. This role involves collaborating with various teams, including optical, electrical, process, controls systems, sensing, test, and mechanical teams, to integrate camera hardware into products. The lead will also oversee offshore manufacturing partners for camera design evaluation, prototype builds, and qualification. Furthermore, they will lead failure analysis and corrective action implementation, analyze parametric data, evaluate and debug camera hardware, and document design, test, and manufacturing requirements. International travel to supplier facilities may be required.
Must have:
  • Define and study RGB camera optics, sensors, and packaging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for camera integration.
  • Lead offshore manufacturing partners in camera design and builds.
  • Analyze failures and implement corrective actions at manufacturing sites.
  • Evaluate and debug camera hardware.

Job Details

- Definition and trade-off studies of RGB camera optics, sensors, actuator, and packaging. - Interaction with optical, electrical, process, controls systems, sensing, test, and mechanical teams on integration of camera hardware into products. - Leadership of offshore manufacturing partners on camera design evaluation, product prototype builds, and qualification. - Leadership of failure analysis and corrective action implementation at manufacturing sites as well as remotely, including assembly processes, testing, and calibration; parametric-data analysis of end-of-line yield and post-reliability failures. - Evaluation and debugging of camera HW at module and product levels for Camera/Depth Design and Integration. - Documentation of camera-specific design, test, and manufacturing requirements. - International travel may be required to supplier facilities for product development and production bring-up.
