To assist in the leadership of the Food areas and department processes through partnership with the Food Assistant Manager and ensure a high level of customer service and while ensuring task completion.
Provides excellent customer service by greeting all customers politely and courteously, assists customers by promoting products and services, locates merchandise and makes purchasing decisions, resolves customer-related issues and escalates concerns, if necessary.
Helps provide instructions and coordinate tasks according to priorities set by the Food Assistant Manager and the store management team.
Evaluates the overall merchandise presentation and appearance of food aisles, noting weaknesses for correction. Executes changes to merchandising displays as needed.
Delegates, assists, and follows up on the completion of daily customer availability process (CAP) tasks, as needed.
Assists with scheduling, as needed.
Assigns associates to assist with customer availability tasks in all areas of the store.
Participates in the training and development of food associates and provides feedback, as needed.
Contributes to a safe, clean, and obstacle-free work environment by adhering to Company guidelines and procedures, including completing safety sweep logs and confirming that displays are secure and free of debris.
