Job Description

This role involves assisting the Food Assistant Manager in leading food areas and department processes, ensuring high customer service, and task completion. Responsibilities include greeting customers, promoting products, resolving issues, coordinating tasks, evaluating merchandise presentation, delegating daily tasks, assisting with scheduling, training associates, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment according to company procedures.
Must Have:
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers politely and courteously.
  • Assist customers by promoting products and services.
  • Locate merchandise and make purchasing decisions.
  • Resolve customer-related issues and escalate concerns.
  • Help provide instructions and coordinate tasks based on management priorities.
  • Evaluate overall merchandise presentation and appearance of food aisles.
  • Note weaknesses for correction and execute changes to merchandising displays.
  • Delegate, assist, and follow up on daily customer availability process tasks.
  • Assist with scheduling.
  • Assign associates to assist with customer availability tasks in all store areas.
  • Participate in training and development of food associates and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and obstacle-free work environment.
  • Adhere to Company guidelines and procedures.
  • Complete safety sweep logs and confirm displays are secure and free of debris.

Position Summary...

To assist in the leadership of the Food areas and department processes through partnership with the Food Assistant Manager and ensure a high level of customer service and while ensuring task completion.

What you'll do...

Provides excellent customer service by greeting all customers politely and courteously, assists customers by promoting products and services, locates merchandise and makes purchasing decisions, resolves customer-related issues and escalates concerns, if necessary.

Helps provide instructions and coordinate tasks according to priorities set by the Food Assistant Manager and the store management team.

Evaluates the overall merchandise presentation and appearance of food aisles, noting weaknesses for correction. Executes changes to merchandising displays as needed.

Delegates, assists, and follows up on the completion of daily customer availability process (CAP) tasks, as needed.

Assists with scheduling, as needed.

Assigns associates to assist with customer availability tasks in all areas of the store.

Participates in the training and development of food associates and provides feedback, as needed.

Contributes to a safe, clean, and obstacle-free work environment by adhering to Company guidelines and procedures, including completing safety sweep logs and confirming that displays are secure and free of debris.
