Paytm is seeking a City Head for its Enterprise Distribution and Commerce (EDC) division in Chennai. The role involves driving and growing revenue for a portfolio of accounts in the region through various payment and merchant services. Key responsibilities include expanding distribution and market share, recruiting and managing a team, formulating counter-strategies against competitors, analyzing data to identify improvement areas, planning market strategies, monitoring quality parameters, conducting audits, and maintaining long-term relationships with merchants. The ideal candidate will leverage their understanding of the Indian retail ecosystem to provide holistic solutions, drive upselling and cross-selling, and have experience managing large enterprise accounts and teams.

About the role: To be a part of enterprise team, Drive and Grow the Revenue for one's portfolio of accounts in the region, through various payment and merchant services.
 
Expectations/ Requirements:
● Grow Distribution and Market share in the assigned area of operations.
● Identify and Recruit the team to align and drive business in the market.
● Skilled in coaching and mentoring, a quick learner who grasps and puts into application
new learned ideas and concepts.
● Formulate and Launch the counter strategy for local initiatives taken up by the
competition.
● Ability to understand the data to gather the right information and plan the execution
accordingly.
● Analyze the data and identify the improvement areas, substantiate through market visits to identify the priority spots in order to perform in.
● Plan the market size, span and geographies for Team.
● Should be able to devise the best methods for communication of plans/targets to the
team to minimize the expectations vs delivery gap.
● Monitor the Quality parameters as suggested by the management.
● Validate and conduct the audits on the acquisitions and sales done by the team.
● Ensure the team members are in market where sales & usage are done regularly
● Should have good networking capabilities and be willing to travel extensively throughout their specified area
● Maintaining and sustaining long-term relationships with on boarded merchants.
● Must use her/his acumen and understanding of the Indian retail ecosystem and network to come up with holistic solutions for the accounts allotted.
● Monitoring Upselling and cross-selling by the team.
● Drive and Grow Revenue for one's portfolio of accounts in the region, through various
payment and merchant services
● Have experience in managing and leading large teams of account managers.
 
Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role
● Must have high level drive, initiative and self – motivation.
● Minimum of 08-15 years of relevant experience.
● Should have large team size handling experience.
● Identify and meet potential clients by growing, maintaining and leveraging your network.
● Should have good exposure in managing large enterprise accounts.
● Should be a graduate/MBA.
● Should possess good communication and negotiation skills.
