The Commercial Operations Analyst will support Sales and Finance teams by structuring complex deals, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Responsibilities include building expertise in Axon’s product catalog, assisting sales reps with quotes, analyzing customer contracts, maintaining accuracy in Salesforce, participating in new product launch testing, and collaborating with cross-functional partners. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on problem-solving and continuous learning.
Must have:
  • 3+ years in sales operations, pricing, or commercial operations
  • Strong finance orientation and attention to detail with numbers and data
  • Salesforce.com CRM platform experience (CPQ preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFs, etc.)
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Your Impact

Axon is seeking a Commercial Operations Analyst to support both our Sales and Finance teams. This is a highly visible role where you’ll play a key part in structuring complex deals and ensuring a seamless customer experience. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, pays close attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment — someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do next, but also values collaboration, feedback, and continuous learning.
You’ll be part of a supportive, mission-driven team that works cross-functionally with Sales, Commercial Controllership, Order Processing, and Accounts Receivable. What You’ll Do 

Location: Boston, Atlanta, Sterling VA 
Reports to: Commercial Operations Manager 
Direct Reports: 0

  • Structure complex deals for key accounts by working cross-functionally with Sales and Finance to ensure efficient delivery and accurate financial outcomes
  • Build deep expertise in Axon’s product catalog, bundles, and quoting tools
  • Support sales reps with guidance on deal formats and non-standard quote requests, including Excel file supplements and custom reporting
  • Analyze existing customer contracts to identify performance obligations and ensure proper invoicing and documentation
  • Maintain accuracy in Salesforce (CRM), including custom contract terms, pricing, and discounting — including heavy use of Salesforce CPQ
  • Participate in testing for new product launches and system updates to ensure smooth business process changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure timely, accurate execution of deals
  • Contribute to team-wide efforts, projects, and process improvements as needed

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years in sales operations, pricing, or commercial operations
  • A strong finance orientation and attention to detail, particularly with numbers and data sets
  • Salesforce.com CRM platform experience (CPQ preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFs, what-ifs, templates, etc.)
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • A proactive mindset — you take ownership of your work and seek out solutions
  • A collaborative approach — you're comfortable asking questions, sharing knowledge, and working as part of a team
  • A service-oriented attitude and comfort navigating cross-functional discussions
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-changing environment

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 57,450 in the lowest geographic market and USD 91,920 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
